Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced Warren Kidgell as the new financial controller of Hilton Durban. Successful in the financial world, Kidgell will be responsible for the overall financial and revenue management of the hotel, reporting to Hilton Worldwide’s Area Office in Dubai.

Mohamed Hamza, GM at Hilton Durban, welcomes Kidgell to the team and says “as we start to see the recession slowly coming to an end and with occupancy rates on the rise, we are confident that Warren will play a key role in our future success.  Warren’s experience and knowledge of the market will assist in building and growing the achievements already made as we grow and develop the hotel.”

Kidgell joins the team from his most recent role in London as senior financial analyst at Northern Trust, an American Investment Management Bank.  Prior to working in the UK, he was employed as an audit manager for Ernst & Young in Durban.

Kidgell qualified as a chartered accountant in 2004, after serving his training contract at Deloitte & Touche and previously having studied at the University of Natal. He lives in Durban with his wife and two children.
