Serena Group appoints Rosemary Mugambi as director

The Serena Group of Hotels has appointed Rosemary Mugambi as regional sales and marketing director, overseeing the East African Market (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda) and Mozambique.
Mugambi has been with the Serena Group of Hotels for the past 23 years, having joined as a management trainee when the group had a portfolio of only five hotels in Kenya. During her career she has gained a wealth of knowledge in the hotel and tourism industry and has been a part of the growth of Serena Hotels in East Africa and Mozambique.
She was the first female lodge manager at Samburu Serena Safari Lodge before joining Serena Beach Hotel & Spa in various capacities, including food and beverage manager, personnel manager and rooms division manager. She was also the group sales manager for tourism promotion services for 10 years.
