Mondazur Resort Hotel targets wedding market

Outdoor and indoor venues cater to variety of bridal parties

Peermont Mondazur Resort Hotel at San Lameer on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is targeting the lucrative wedding market. The property offers a range of scenic views and different wedding venues and is looking to be a one-stop wedding and honeymoon location.

Outdoor wedding venues include the swimming pool, lawns and Marina Beach. The hotel also has function rooms that can be decorated and draped for a romantic wedding.

“Mondazur hotel excels in the three essential ingredients for a stress free, romantic and enjoyable wedding – superb cuisine, impeccable service and an elegant atmosphere,” says Elmare Kotze, GM at Mondazur.

Wedding guests have a variety of accommodation choices, including eight classic rooms, or a selection of deluxe and superior rooms. The hotel also features a special honeymoon suite.

The Lagoon Grill and Bar at Mondazur overlooks the lagoon and the pool. It serves a seafood and a la carte menu which can be tailored to suit any wedding theme or design. The restaurant also extends to the pool deck where guests can enjoy a reception with tropical cocktails.

The resort is one kilometre from Marina beach, which borders the estate, for couples wanting a beach wedding. Kotze says: “The Marina beach is beautiful and sandy with an adjacent tidal pool. It is one of the country’s few beaches with the distinctive ‘Blue Flag’ status which is an international annual award only given to beaches that meet excellence in safety, amenities, cleanliness and environmental standards.”

The resort also offers a variety of entertainment for the bridal couple and guests, including an 18-hole golf course, machie golf course, tennis and squash courts and birding nature walks.

“We strive to provide our guests with a hassle-free wedding in an intimate setting ensuring their special day is one they never forget. With our focus on providing exceptional service and four-star luxury we ensure that the magic of Mondazur leaves all our guests with memories of glittering waters, tropical landscapes and good times,” says Kotze.
