Leading frozen vegetable producer, McCain, recently embarked on a consumer promotion to heighten awareness and trial of the McCain Young & Tender range.
McCain is aiming to bring to life Young & Tender’s product attributes, which include taste and variety, through its latest promotion, giving consumers the opportunity to win one of 10 premium Carrol Boyes designer dining sets worth R10 000 each.
Competition entrants will also receive two recipes weekly as well as a bonus recipe in the final week of the promotion allowing them to build up a McCain Young & Tender recipe file with an assortment of ideas to help them bring meals to life.
The recipe element emphasises the quality offering and different ways McCain Young & Tender products can be used to add variety to dishes and colour to mealtimes
The McCain Young & Tender promotion highlights the fact that frozen vegetables are ‘always in season’, reinforcing the notion that consumer don’t have to wait for their preferred vegetables to be in season and can be enjoyed all year round.
The promotion runs from 14 November to 24 December 2011 and entry is based on purchase.
The promotion will be supported by in-store point of sale material including banners, freezer dividers, eye catchers and gondola material as well as print advertorials to raise awareness of the promotion.
