Numatic sells direct to consumers

Numatic South Africa, one of the country’s leading cleaning equipment manufacturers, has launched its first online store to conveniently bring its homecare range directly to consumers.

“Vacuum cleaners were initially produced for professions cleaners, but now have become helpers to people doing housework, taking over a quarter of a century of research and cleaning innovation right into their homes,” says Dewald Botha, general manager for Numatic South Africa.

For 25 years, Numatic has been a household name across Europe and has been well-established in Johannesburg since 1995. It used distributors solely as a point-of-sale to professional users, such as businesses, hospitals and hotels. But its reputation grew with the famous red vacuum cleaner Henry that is known for his longevity and powerful performance, and every European home owner wanted their own Henry or his female counterpart Hetty.

“Now anyone in South Africa can get their hands on one too. From 2 May 2012, prospective buyers can visit www.numaticshop.co.za to buy from Numatic’s Homecare range, which includes Henry, Hetty, George, James, Harry and Charles,” says Dewald Botha, general manager for Numatic South Africa.

Customers globally value the individual character concept and the face of each vacuum cleaner within the range, which have been designed as individuals – with the best specification to tackle the required job with ease.

Two standard machines available are Henry and Hetty. Both have a full TwinFlo two-stage motor, AutoSave energy conservation, improved air quality and lower noise levels.

Every time you switch them on, they automatically start on the economy setting. Only if more power is needed to cope with extra dirt can you operate in Hi mode. The 10-metre cable storage and rewind system is neat and hassle free, while the highly efficient HepaFlo dust bags improve filtration efficiency and cleanliness.

Pet owners adore the green version Harry, with its very own paw of approval stamp, while a bright yellow James and its unique enlarged top is always handy to store small tools, duster and polish.

Then there’s Charles, a wet or dry vacuum, and George, the ‘all-in-one’ vacuum.
