Castle Lager, GM Alastair Hewitt, says the launch encompasses consumer convenience and the finest ingredients that South Africa has to offer. “Castle Draught in a can is fresh from the Brew House and gives South Africans an opportunity to take home this special draught to enjoy in the company of friends anywhere, anytime,” he explains.
Castle Draught in a can is exclusively available in 440ml cans, in six packs and cases of 24, making it an easy and convenient take-home purchase.
Much engineering and craftsmanship has gone into making sure that this new packaging protects the crisp, somewhat dry, never sweet taste of a freshly poured draught.
“As one of the beverage can manufacturers in Sub-Saharan Africa, Nampak Bevcan prides itself as an innovator in the industry. The new 440ml Castle Draught can attest to this, as it boasts a premium design which was produced to fit into any lifestyle, brewed to ensure that all home grown flavours are enjoyed at the peak of their perfection, with no compromise,” notes Erik Smuts, MD of Nampak Bevcan.
“The beverage can is hermetically sealed and 100% protected from light, ensuring the draught is kept as fresh as the day it was brewed, to give that satisfying drinking experience. Furthermore, there is a great benefit to the environmentally conscious consumer, as beverage cans are 100% recyclable,” he concludes.
Castle Lager believes that the new, canned draught encapsulates Castle Lager’s proud heritage in South Africa’s brewing industry and is an ongoing commitment to providing South Africans with the best beer that the country has to offer: a beer brewed by South Africans, using the finest South African ingredients for the finest South African consumers.
“It all comes together with a Castle,” says Hewitt.
