Brrrr!!! It’s cold outside

South Africa has proved once again that it’s a tourist destination with something for everyone.
This time it’s snow.
This picture was taken at the Midlands Saddle and Trout Resort near Mooi River in KZN.
South Africa’s major highway between Johannesburg and Cape Town, the N1, was blocked by snow for hours yesterday. This meant that the rest of the world was cut off from Beaufort West.

    It has snowed at all 3 of our resorts inland Midlands Saddle and Trout, Bushman’s Nek in the Southern Berg and Qwantani Resort by Sterkfontein Dam. They have no electricity at the moment. So all the guests are huddling around fires and having snowman making competitions. Really, really cold!
