Kosie Pansegrouw, MD of Guvon Hotels & Spas and Etienne Meyer from Fairview on 14th Property Management (Pty) Ltd have signed an agreement for Guvon Hotels & Spas to manage and market the modern and upmarket Fairview All-Suite Hotel in Fairlands, Johannesburg from 1 May. The property was previously managed by Signature Life. This brings the total number of properties in the Guvon Portfolio to seven hotels and lodges, and four spas.
Fairview All-Suite presently consists of 23 two-bedroom downstairs apartments with a fitted kitchen, lounge area and patio, plus another 24 two-bedroom loft apartments. Two three-bedroom apartments, one with a loft and one downstairs unit, completes the offering. Each apartment features under-floor heating throughout its interior, a 42-inch plasma TV screen, wireless internet connection and selected DSTV and TV channels.
Conference facilities are available for up to 40 delegates at a time and a vibrant open plan diner provides a variety of meals and snacks to in-house and walk-in guests.
Operations firector of Guvon Hotels, Leon Bosch, is delighted with the new addition to the group: “Exciting expansion plans and a name change for Fairview on 14th are under way. This young and modern All-Suite venue has great potential and a fantastic geographic position with easy access of the N1 highway at 14th Avenue off-ramp. With the expansions we have in mind, the property will be a major competitor on the Roodepoort/Northcliff area.”
Marika Britz, resident manager at Fairview All-Suite, says of the new developments: “We at Fairview are delighted to become part of the distinguished Guvon family. We believe that all aspects of our establishment will be greatly enhanced with the new partnership. While we will retain the personality, individual and innovative touches our property has become known for, we look forward to the collective punching power of such a dynamic group.”
Expansion plans, the name change and new logo will be revealed during the Indaba Tourism Expo from 12 to 15 May.
