Clayton Howard, who has been GM at the Cellars-Hohenort Hotel in Constantia, Cape Town, for six years, has been appointed to run the Pepper Club, a new luxury hotel due to open in Cape Town soon.

In a farewell message to clients of the hotel, Cellars-Hohenort owner Liz McGrath said: “I am sure you will join me in wishing Clayton Howard great success and happiness in his new position at The Pepper Club in Cape Town.

“After six years as general manager at The Cellars-Hohenort, Clayton felt it time to move on to new challenges and to new horizons. We too, at The Cellars-Hohenort, will be making changes to the structure of the company, of which we will inform you in the near future.

“Angie Swail, our assistant general manager, will be holding the fort and will be on hand to assist wherever possible.”

Howard previously worked at the 12 Apostles Hotel on the Cape Peninsula’s Atlantic Coast.
