Jozini Tiger Lodge launches houseboat

The vessel has four en-suite bedrooms with a capacity of eight persons sharing. Each room is able to convert to either two single beds or a king and rooms have showers and private toilets with amenities and supplied towels. The private bedrooms have individually-controlled air conditioning, cupboard space and a small balcony.
The granite kitchen is kitted with gas appliances including a fridge, freezer and stove. Other appliances include a microwave, toaster and all crockery, pots, pans and cutlery. The kitchen provides seating.
The open plan upper deck has been designed with a Jacuzzi and a gas braai as well as a bar facility, satellite television, comfortable couch setting and dining table
The “Tobias” is skippered by two experienced Skippers that live on board in private facilities. The skippers have knowledge of the lake and its surround and the houseboat is serviced daily whilst on water.
A normal two-day trip includes embarking at 13h00 on the day of arrival at the Jozini Tiger Lodge jetty with departure at 14h00, after a briefing by the skippers.
The following morning includes a slow cruise at a time suiting the group to some of the prime fishing hotspots which can be enjoyed on the towed tender boat. Evening anchorage is in one of the gorges and the final morning has a later start as the vessel returns to the jetty.
Current rate is R4 000 per night per houseboat on a self -catering basis.
