Sun Resorts is growing its business in Mauritius, with the recent launch of Long Beach Hotel. The new urban-luxury property takes the place of the previously popular Le Coco Beach Hotel. The group’s existing properties on the island continue to draw accolades.
Le Touessrok, the flagship of Sun Resorts and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, has been named “Best Hotel in the Indian Ocean” by The Daily Telegraph’s luxury travel magazine Ultratravel.
“We are extremely pleased to note that for the second consecutive year, the esteemed Ultratravel magazine has placed Le Touessrok as one of the best hotels in the world and the best in the Indian Ocean. This commendation from the part of UK guests is a tribute to this wonderful hotel and its team,” says Arnaud Martin, chief sales and marketing officer of Sun Resorts.
GM of Le Touessrok Sjefke Jansen says: “Yet another award for our hotel; nevertheless, we do not wish to remain idle in our permanent quest for quality and excellence to please our guests. The Daily Telegraph Ultratravel award is an acknowledgement of our management’s and team’s commitment to ultimate guest satisfaction.”
The 2011 Ultratravel Awards ceremony took place at the Savoy hotel in London and Jean Pierre Bosquet, director of sales and marketing for Sun Resorts in the United Kingdom, was presented with the award in recognition of the best brands in the luxury travel industry.
In 2010, Le Touessrok won the Best Beach/Resort Hotel award by Ultratravel.
