Longmeadow upgrades for the futureOctober 11th, 2010 by H&R | Categories: products, restaurants, tourism
Longmeadow, a function venue in Fourways, Sandton, has been upgraded to cater for corporate functions, product launches, weddings, conferences and parties of up to 300 people.
Its covered patio and outdoor dining area have been extended and guests can now dine in a freshly appointed venue while enjoying the views from what was originally the homestead of gardening guru Keith Kirsten.
For smaller gatherings, Longmeadow offers planners a choice of breakaway rooms; a 24-seater private dining-room for intimate parties; a 24-seater conference room; and a 50-seater piano lounge.
Near Monte Casino, Longmeadow reflects its name, with rolling green lawns surrounded by gardens and is ideal for outside entertaining, musical soirees and weddings.
Johnathan Ngwenya is the resident chef and will create menus to taste, theme and budget. He trained with Italian chef Ricardo Stanzani and Christian Giral, and is assisted by Kat Alexandris, head of the food fivision of Retailcorp Brands South Africa, who designs the menus and provides new ideas.
