News Caf has teamed up with Cointreau, True Religion, Wonderbra, Pure Police DNA, Mabelline NY and Elchim SA in next year’s Face of News Caf 2010 brand ambassadress competition. Entries officially opened on 18 November 2009 and close on 5 January 2010.
The total prize value is R100 000 for the winner and two runners-up. The annual competition will result in six regional casting sessions, planned for February 2010.
Three “faces” will be selected in each of the regions, and the 18 finalists will compete in the finale of the competition, to be hosted in Gauteng in April 2010.
The competition was first launched in 2005 to increase brand awareness through the selection of a brand ambassadress that represents the restaurant chain’s image and vibe. The winner of the 2010 title will feature prominently in News Caf’s above-the-line lifestyle campaign for the coming year.
Nick Eleftheriadis, News Cafe marketing director, says: “The Cointreau Face of News Caf is not your typical beauty pageant, far from it. It’s about the vibe and finding a suitable personality that fits hand-in-glove with our brand philosophy. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our naming sponsor, Cointreau, who together with our other highly fashionable and prized benefactors, so eloquently encourage individuality, together with being Cointreau-versial.”
