More awards for Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town

The Red Carnation Hotel Collection of luxury, family-run boutique hotels, has scooped top more awards for two of its five-star hotels. The Milestone Hotel in Kensington, London and the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town have been included in Travel + Leisure’s 500 Best Hotels readers poll for 2011. Both hotels achieved outstanding marks and were listed in the top 10 for their respective regions, Europe and Africa.

The Milestone overlooks Kensington Palace and Gardens in London. It offers 56 individually designed rooms and suites, and six two-bedroom apartments. The building is a showpiece of the Victorian era, having been restored to its former architectural state.

It features 24-hour butler service, Cheneston’s fine-dining restaurant, Park Lounge for traditional afternoon tea, Stables bar and fitness center with resistance pool and spa treatments.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a top Cape Town hotel, taking its name from the view of the Twelve Apostles mountain range. It was also named the No.1 Hotel in Cape Town (Travel + Leisure magazine World’s Best hotels 2010) and voted No.1 Hotel in South Africa (Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Family Hotels Awards 2010).

Facilities include 70 sea- and mountain-facing bedrooms and suites including the Presidential Suite; one sea- and one mountain-facing pool; and the award-winning Sanctuary Spa. Dining facilities include the Azure restaurant, The Caf Grill, and the Leopard Bar.

There is also a 16-seat private cinema, a helipad, and complimentary shuttle transfers to and from the V&A Waterfront.
