Signature Life Hotels added three lodges under its Signature Safari Brand: Shishangeni Private Lodge, Camp Shawu and Shonga in the Kruger National Park.

Shishangeni Private Lodge is situated on 15 000 hectares of a private concession and comprises three camps including Shishangeni Private Lodge, Camp Shonga and Camp Shawu.

Says CEO Alan Vels of Signature Life Hospitality “We have taken over the management sales and marketing for the owner, and we look forward to creating our Signature Safari experience for these lodges. We believe that a true Safari experience is offering many activities to choose from apart from the traditional game drive. We want our guests to fall in love with the true bush experience around which our lodges are created.

“These lodges sit well with our other Safari experiences, Jozini Tiger Lodge, Ubizane Tree and Safari Lodge, Hans Merensky Golf Estate and Spa, Tala Private Game Reserve, Zebula Lodge and Estate and Itaga Private Game Lodge.”

Shishangeni Lodge has 22 individual chalets for 44 guests, all of which have a private game-viewing deck, fireplace, outdoor shower and relaxation area. Inter-leading rooms are available for families.

Nearby Camp Shawu, also part of the private concession, is uniquely designed and built with authentic buffalo dung walls, and all lodgings have private wooden decks overlooking the Mpanamana Dam. Comfortably hosting 10 guests in five suites, all have a classic ball and claw bath, open lounge, a fireplace, ceiling fans and outdoor shower.

Camp Shonga in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains has views of the mountains and bushveld. Guests can enjoy a dip in a splash pool or join others on the deck for sunset drinks and starlit dining.
