The first brand-exclusive bubbly bar in South Africa has opened at Steenberg as the hotel on a Cape Peninsula golf estate ends the current foreign leisure tourist season on a high note.
The Steenberg Hotel has enjoyed its best year to date in terms of occupancies, as well as international awards and accolades received.
Gaby Gramm, Graham Beck Hospitality GM for Steenberg, has welcomed the addition of Georgeous by Graham Beck, as another Steenberg attraction.
Gramm is upbeat about the future, having identified a number of positive indicators that bode well for the year ahead.
“Apart from the fact that our hotel occupancies are up substantially, I am very pleased with the current trend of an extended high season. Our international reputation has received a welcome boost with the endorsement of recent awards and we are thrilled to see bookings coming in from new markets such as Scandinavia.
“We are seeing more and more guests choosing to get out of the city to enjoy the relaxed holiday ambience in our winelands and golf resort environment here in the Constantia Valley, which is only 20 minutes from central Cape Town.”
The range of facilities and experiences on offer at Steenberg is an important drawcard “which guests may enjoy at their leisure, and at the last minute, if and when they feel like it,” Gramm said.
