Survey on tourism business trends
May 18th, 2009 by H&R | Categories: government, hotels, industry, restaurants, tourismBusinesses in the tourism industry have been asked to supply information for a survey that will be used to develop a strategy to respond to the impact of the global economic downturn.
The survey is being undertaken by the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT), the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA), South African Tourism (SAT) and the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). It is supported by Fedhasa, which has asked its members to participate.
Copies of the form detailing the information required can be obtained from DEAT, TBC and Fedhasa offices around the country. It can be downloaded from their websites and participants have been asked to supply the information by May 29.
The survey covers the period from January to April 2009 and seeks comparisons with figures for the same period in 2008.
